3-4 gear change "slip" in 6L80E trans

As I mentioned in another thread, I am experiencing a slight slip or delay in engagement of 4th gear from the 3-4 gear change when the trans is cold or has sat for a little while. The car is a 2010 2SS/RS that just rolled 32k. I bought the car last month and have experienced this since I bought it.

Good Afternoon,

I have the same issue with my car SINCE NEW ( 2014 2SS./RS) When its cold it makes a weird noise then there is a shift lag 2-3 or 3-4 when the tranny is cold or everytime I restart the car... I have no idea what it is. Now, after that first lag, or hic-up it shifts smooth, crisp and fast... So I learned to live with it.

But it still worries me that something may be wring with the Converter, etc...

Any others know something about this?

I experience it as well.

I kinda just take it as being normal for the transmission as it doesn't seem to affect anything else and doesn't have any overly abnormal crunch sound.

It doesn't happen randomly but only during the cold shift changes just as you give the pedal more power and sounds more like a 'drop clink' sound.
