Now that the deets are out...

...for those of you are going to buy the Camaro, what are you realistically going to sign up for?

I'll probably get the Aqua Blue Metallic (or the Imperial Blue Metallic, though on the website it had too much of a red tint...I've seen photos of other IBM Chevy's that look a lot closer to Blue Chip, which would be great) LT with the 6-speed manual and 18-inch wheels with a leather trimmed interior. I'd like to get the RS package, but it depends on cost. The SS will likely be out of reach financially for me, but a well-optioned V6 will not be a bad thing at all.

(oops...noticed someone beat me to this topic. Go ahead and delete this one if necessary....)

I don't need the fastest car on the street; but I want the most fun...
300hp is NO slouch, so I'm probably going to get the LT/RS and option it the hell out!

I think ive made the decision to do that, it will just make me really mad if they offer options that i want for the v8 only, like hud.

definitely the ss with the ls3 and manual, and the adjustable suspension. prolly gonna get the rs trim package, the sunroof, and the premium audio. color is varying between cyber grey and imperial blue. depends on what, if any, stripe packages are available.

the SS just better have the vent thingy in the hood. thats a must for me in terms of looks.

did you see the ls3 manual will have a special launch-control mode!! that will be sweet. will save the clutch big-time.

very exciting -- but we NEED MORE INFO -- specially on the SS.

Looks like no Z28 -- i guess the "specialty" dealers and/or tuners will prolly fill that void?

RS/SS manual for me. Depending on how far north of $33k the price goes with options (trying to keep it at $33k or lower) will dictate what option packages I select..... at minimum, I will certainly get the RS package and a moonroof. I love red, but to keep our friendly law enforcement officials from noticing I may just go with silver/charcoal interior.

After that, we'll see.

Too bad the remote start is only available on automatics - that would be killer to start the car in gear

LT/RS with the audio system, in black, with the jet black interior, but have to find somewhere to get gold stripes from. the ambient lighting looks cool. Probaly gonna get auto. LA traffic is a bitch. But I really want a manual.

personally I tink the ambient lighting would help with her name.

the thing is I really would rather have the slide over + - with the shifter yu know it just feels more stick. and I drive with just my left hand on top of the wheel.

I'm definately getting something RS, I want my halos!

I'm wondering if the HUD will be part of the RS option (didn't see it mentioned) or if it would be V8 only. Need the pricing cuz a RS/SS may be over my budget and I would be so disappointed if the HUD is offered only on the V8. I'm with you on that Pink Camaro.

Personally, I'm shooting for the LT/RS with no additional options except the handling package.

P.S. I actually like the new leather wrapped knob (see avatar) better than the original concept knob. Hopefully the LT comes standard with the leather interior - including the steering wheel and the shifter.

SS/RS - 6spd.
Gauge pack
Ambient Lighting
Premium Audio
Hopefully RS

I hope I can cash it all in for under 32k.

If not, then the lighting and the premium audio go first.

Actually, now that I think about it, I may just skip over the suspension package all together - I just wanted it for the larger sway bars, but I'm sure I could get those off the aftermarket for cheaper than what the factory would charge. I do want ambient lighting as well, but I was under the impression that it was going to be standard - is that not correct? So the only real option I want is the RS package, and the (black or dark gray) leather interior if it is not standard on the LT.
