Thanks for the diy, also, there is a video of removal of the front clip on Youtube. I think
they were installing a T-rex grille.

Most parts stores should carry it, probably hardware stores also.
It is called 3M doublesided tape and comes in black or gray and a couple different widths. Most all of the emblems on vehicles are attached with this stuff. The only downside of the SS to the grille is I was only able to attach it accross the bottom section of the SS to one bar of the grille. If it comes loose I will do something different. The good news is if by chance it falls off and I dont know it they are very cheap from GM to replace. around $15 I believe.

Get some JB weld and glue a couple flat head screws to the back that are long enough to extend through the grill, when you line up your emblem just put a couple washers on the backside along with some self locking nuts and you got it made.. works for the bowties too... I did that on my el Camino when I put a 350 emblem in the grill...

Be sure and use a little coarse sand paper to rough up the area on the back of the emblem so the JB Weld has a place for a good grip..

Painted in your case would look fantastic. On a black car...nope.

Great write up and excellent mod!

Painted body color is the only way to go.. plus in my opinion it just does not look right without some kind of emblem in the grill. maybe a 69 style bowtie, RS or SS emblem would look good depending on which model you have.

Hey, how wide (deep) are the fins on the heritage grille going form front to back? I am wondering because I need to know how long studs have to be so I can install an SS emblem in the center.

Is the Heritage the same color as the bottom grill? Looks real close. I ask cause I have a black car and dont really want to paint the Heritage.
