In their raw, unpainted state, I imagine these things are transparent or else Josh (RPI Designs) would have never offered to paint the inside. Maybe he meant lexan instead of fiberglass or something?
The material GM makes the stock ABL panels out of is Polycarbonate. I'd know - I'm one of the few who has actually stripped the paint on the backside of the stock ABL panels (and yes, they are painted on the backside - you'd also be interested to know the backside is textured) and shot them with a different color (Hugger Orange). Alas, while I did great on three of the panels, the stripping chemical I used messed up the passenger side door panel, so that's why I am displaying interest in these. If I can get a driver/passenger set of these unpainted, then I can just shoot them with Hugger Orange right out of the box instead of having to worry about stripping them first and in the process risking the integrity of the plastic. |

So has anyone installed these yet? Just curious if you liked them.. How do they look at night? Are they being done so that the abl light will go all the way up to the dash pieces or will it look exactly like stock?

Also, I've seen it mentioned these panel can be painted from the interior vs. exterior, but I haven't seen whether there is a price difference for that or not.

I like this option. I was wondering if you offered the center strip across the dash to match the door panels as well? I am interested in white, but would want the entire thing to match.

If you do not want or have ABL get these from RPI.

Ok, so as far as fitment goes are they the exact same size of the factory panels or are they a little smaller do to the mold from the original panels? I have heard the other companies that make these that there is a fitment problem either to big or to small for the opening.

Do you guys include the correct size screws that are needed to install the panels?
