may need a laptop style tune.... never used handhelds.

You can probably spoof the tire size to make it work, or at least close, but you need a real tune (not a handheld) to adjust the ratio

If the M6 needs adjustment -- Tell the predator you have a 25.3" tire. That will get you very close.

If my math is correct -- Its just ratios --- 28.68" tire is to a 3.45 gear as a 25.3" is to 3.91 gear.

Question for those running the 3.91s. At 75 in 6th, can you still do a wide open 3rd gear downshift? Or would it be way too high in the rpm range.

That's what I love about the stock gears, is the highway downshift to 3rd. Those with LT's will know what I'm talking about. Ripping 3rd from a 75mph roll to redline is a scream.

No doubt it will go faster as soon as I can get back to the track. 9.99 n/a?

If you're on the fence, don't be. These gears are awesome (and whisper quiet)
Gears are awesome! Always have been in any car.

I remember back in the day when I switch the gears in my '69 Camaro from 3.08 to 4.11.....with only 3 gears....you can only imagine. Talk about waking the dead. Now, highway cruising was obvioulsy the opposite. I didn't care...I was mostly driving around town. Killed plenty of mustangs (back in the mid - late 80's when GT was making a name for itself) from a 10 mph rolling punch.

I now run 3.73 with a Tremec TKO 600 (5-speed) in my '69. Great combo for that car.

Pouncer.....you made out like a bandit. Now you have an excuse to go spend those savings on different mods.

I've found that for the most part I only lost about 200 RPM. I haven't specifically done what you're asking here because I rarely get on the highway but look at whatever RPM you're running when you do this and add 200 to it. That should get you a ball park idea.

Has anybody got a set of these for an automatic?

I feel like 3.91's are a bit too aggressive considering the auto's 1st gear but these are such a great deal compared to the aftermarket 3.70's and 3.73's that it might still be worth it.

Ask your question in the V8 driveline section. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=76

I know there are quite a few autos that have the LPE 3.91 gears so it would more likely be seen and get an answer there.

Wow, that's like $691 (U.S.). They are seriously marking up that price!!! I would call Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet and see if she can ship to Canada. My quoted price from Maureen was less than half that....so you're dealership is a bunch of crooks!!!
