Sure it does, but you don't have to bounce the engine off the rev-limiter and, high boost is relative. The rev-limiter is a saftey, not a shift light.

true... especially considering running up against it has consequences like above.

This post makes me laugh.
The biggest thing is the thought that hitting the rev limiter all the time wouldn’t hurt anything.
It stresses almost everything in the engine and drivetrain more.
Adjust it to the correct limit and don’t bounce off it all the time or a broken belt will be the least of your worry’s.
Can we say new engine???
Broken transmission or diff maybe axles.???
No matter how well you build something if you abuse it you will break it.

Yea, I installed an overdrive cog on one still on the car. It’s a little cramped back there but it just takes a little patients.

So the wine comes from the cog belt not the Supercharger? Any truth to extra heat witch robs power? What's your opinion on this? Also what is the stock setup? 1to1 or what?
Thanks

Yes the cog belt is what causes the whine. Heat absolutely can kill power, running a OD rear pulley isn't going to create enough heat to be detrimental though. Stock is 1:1 on the rear pulley.
