If anybody is interested in Flashlight Drags, they're going to be at Pittsburgh International Race Complex.

TrackCross was a god damn blast. You guys that have been before missed out. People must have been afraid of the weather, there were 15-18 cars max there. I made 14 runs and that was with a ton of downtime to let oil temps cool down, I could have made 40 if I wanted to.

Cdb made quite a few passes the day I met him. After a couple hours a lot left and they allowed hot lapping. Last hour there was only very few cars.

Ah.. I've heard they have had 70+ cars at some.

A Hyundai Genesis Coupe hit a guard rail between turn 3 & 4 around 6:30 and they let us make one more pass and shut us down to go repair the guard rail.

For my first time out on the track for something other than the flashlight drags I think I made some good improvements throughout the day. Turn 1 and 7 still had me nervous and I found myself not carrying as much speed as I should have through them. Turn 8 got sketchy at wide open throttle at 100+mph so I started hesitating through it.

Would love to go back for a PDE next year and get some instruction on improving my driving.

Here's my best. 45.3 according to their timers... Best run of the day was a 39.5 from a Porsche 911 Turbo S.



Thought for sure I was finding the grass with that under steer on turn 5

I wasn't pushing to hard my first time there. Track feels completely different then MidOhio lol. This track is pretty fast.

That day I did 33 runs. It was a 6 hour event but I showed up 2 hours into it. I did more standing around BS'n with GreenMachine than I did the previous TrackX (8/13). That event I had 28 runs (4 hours) and took about an hour break. I do better when I can hot lap and get into a rhythm.

There were a ton of cars on 9/24, I only got 16 runs in.

My best so far is 42.105, and I can do better, just gotta do every corner perfect

I did over 375 miles of PDE in my old 95 Z28 in 07-08, PDE's are even better!

Damn. I took some cooldown time as my oil temps were in the 250 range and seeing 21psi of idle oil pressure made me uneasy... now after doing some reading it seems pretty normal and temps weren't high enough to be concerned yet.

There was a guy there in a stockish 99 Corvette FRC going 42's so I know my car has a ton more in it seeing as it is faster and has a better suspension setup, just needs a driver

I def did better when I did 3 or 4 runs in a row and I can see that PDE with an instructor would def help in learning those corners better, just not sure I want to start doing PDE's with my car, thinking about picking up a E30 BMW for $3k-4k as it will be cheaper in the long run.
