Arrow Dart Block

Hello,
My next engine is a Dart SHP block, it does not have the coolant hose hookup on the side of the block for the stock oil cooler. So I am using the Improved oil cooler adapter with thermostat, I feel it is important to keep oil hot enough to remove water condensation from it.

So if I'm at 210* them I'm OK right?

That's perfectly normal.

Here was mine after a 20 minute session on a road course on a 97 degree day:

Mine is around 250 to 260 on a 100 degree day but I think the turbo is causing alot of the higher temps.

Arrow Racing temps

The top tier synthetic engine oils still work at 320* but tend to thin out. So running a heavier weight oil for track days can help.

My oil temp gauge is just slightly to the right of the 210 line at normal cruise. I'd like to know that it won't get crazy on me during track days. Then again I was looking at some sweet Ferraris today so who knows lol.

Oil temp

I ran a tee off the oil pressure sensor for the turbos then left the stock oil cooler on and switched to a 165 thermostat.

What oil are you running? 10w40?

One of the oil cooler coolant lines was leaking on mine so I deleted the oil cooler while installing a SC recently. Got it tuned last week and noticed my oil temps were in the 240-260 degree range when having some fun with it over the weekend (95 degrees / 65% humidity) Ordered a case of Driven 15w40 oil to try out when it gets here. Will see how that impacts the temps. Anyways, I am just starting to look for another oil cooler as well.
