Green Metallic 4th Gen - 3.8L Type II 5-Speed 69 5XX miles - Montreal Qc Canada
Hi,
My first name is Luc, pronounced Luke I live in Montreal Quebec. For the curious one's, that's about 600 km north of New York, Ny through Highway 87N. --------------------------------------------- Now, how did I get to this forum & thread? Through google.com top results for keyword: "camaro 4th generation". The question, why have I made this research? That's where my camaro comes into play... --------------------------------------------- I own a 3.8L Type II V6 matted to a 5Speed stick shift 4th gen Metallic Green RS. The cool thing about it, matching color code ground effects kit (lip + spoiler). I've had my Camaro for a little less than 4 years, haven't put much mileage on it (about 14 000 miles). 90% is because we have winter down here (Snow + Salt = Slush). --------------------------------------------- Recently, I've been thinking. To keep or not to keep: Tough question! There's a small part of me who's still thinking: Keep + Upgrade 1- Engine + Transmission. 2- Brakes + Suspension. 3- Interior + Accoustics. --------------------------------------------- That's probably the main reason I joined this forum. To grasp some wisdom from original Camaro fanatics! What do you think I should do? Thanks for your input --------------------------------------------- |

Welcome to the site, Luc. You might want to post your question as a new thread rather than in this picture thread.

'99 Convertible for the best lady I ever met. Happy b-day. Yes, it is a V6 that originally came from Hendrick Chevrolet and they or someone in the vehicle's life did some swapping of the SS hood and a few other things. Orange is my color. It matches my 2010 IOM, my '68(if it ever gets back on the road), and swap the orange and white it matches my '97 SS convertible. Just missing my old '69 Indy Pace Car.

I posted up mine a while back but it has changed a bit since then.
Under the hood is a 414 cubic inch LT1. 4.060" bore x 4.00" stroke. AFR 227cc race ported heads, at 11.77-1 compression. LSM solid roller camshaft 256/260 on a 105, .675"/.675" lift. Jesel shaft rockers, Trend pushrods, single plane intake, custom elbow, 58m TB, th350, tranny brake, Dana60, 3.73's, still rocking the factory pcm (limits rpm to 7000). It's run a best of 10.15 at 133.65, and also has been 133.90mph, all at around 3100lbs. This is on pump gas, mufflers, etc, exactly as I drive it on the street. Here's a video of it at the 2011 LTX shootout just cruising through the pits: The best time at the shootout was in 2012 where it ran a few 10.48's at 130.6. It was 88 and humid.
