DUMB question... battery

So this is probably one of the lamest questions ever posted on here, But ill ask anyway. I have on the fire suit lol..

Where the heck is the battery on a 2011 convertiable. Ours has 303 miles on it, I know i suck and its never driven, anyway i want to put the trickel charger on it so doesnt go dead.. Pop the hood.. No battery, so im like ok in the trunk.. pop the trunk no battery..

Under the cover on the floor of the trunk. Removed by unscrewing the fastener in relatively the center of the trunk floor.

the only stupid question is the one that you dont ask, yep, the battery is in the trunk under that cover along with your little air compressor, so when you have a blow out you can air it back up

dont feel bad, this gets asked often.

At least youre not one of those people who disconnect the battery, close the trunk and cant get back in to hook the battery back up

I was wondering about this.
What do you have to do?

Go in through the back seat and pull the mafia handle.

If using a trickle charger like a Battery Tender or the like, yo can hook it up under the hood, by usingthe postive post (easily dentifiable under the red cap) and the small negative post (located on the edge of the fender). You will see a silver covered rod sticking out near the edge.

On a convertible, there is a key lock for the trunk located between the drivers side of the rear seat and the drivers side panel. It's rather hidden. Your car should originally have had a sticker on the panel to show where it's located.

The key lock on the convertible is between the seat back and the side panel right around elbow high IIRC. It's tuck way back in.

This is why I drape a nice clean furniture pad over the trunk lid when I disconnect the battery. This makes sure it doesn't accidently get closed.
