Did you have to pay this? How much is it? I have a V6 so I didnt have to worry about this.

I wish they'd just had added more to the tax and not crap like skip shift and AFM.

0 for V6.
0 for SS because of skipshift for M6 and AFM for auto
$1300 for ZL1 M6
$2600 for 5th gen ZL1 auto. Not sure about 6th. at least $1300
Best part about paying it is since it's in the price of the car, you get to pay sales tax on it. Gotta love NY. I payed $104 tax on a $1300 tax.

I've paid it on both current cars. The ZL1 was $2600 and the SS was $1300, both cars are A6. The worse part is having to pay tax on the GG tax...

I'm not sure if the 1LE has it or not, I have the window sticker in the glove box, have to check it. I wouldn't think it would if the SS doesn't have it. I know I didn't pay for it since I bought the car used.

Of course the government never spends money on air filtration plants and the people that build them and the people that work there.

Maybe you should visit a big city like Hong Kong were it is commonplace to wear masks when going outdoors.

I did not know that. I thought it would be itemized like a grocery bill where beer is taxable and milk is not.

The gas guzzler tax isn't an actual tax. It is a reimbursement to GM, they are the ones actually getting taxed. The reimbursement is included in the price the same as an option, so you get taxed on it.
