It just seems odd that he was running that high of boost with the restrictor. When I had mine unrestricted it was 15 lbs., so for him to be at 14, you're talking about the restrictor opening being as wide as the inlet on the blower.

Was your car a bone stock L99 Auto?

And it was 13 at 6200 not 14 customer misquoted.

My first mod. was the ECS kit on an LS3 and the boost was only peaking at 10 lbs. It made a little over 600. That's why it just seemed odd that even at 13 lbs, he is at less than 500 to the wheels.

low timing and low rev limiter.

Did you have Long tube headers with high flow cats or off road pipes?

Mine is LS3 LT headers and 3" catback. 630rwhp on 12* timing and 12psi. I would imagine the L99
would be lower because of the stock exhaust and auto tranny.

No. I didn't put them on until after. 600 was just the blower alone.

I put down 665 RWHP through the L99 with an NA cam, 1 7/8" Kooks long tubes /catted/ 2.5" exhaust with the restricted blower through a DSS 9" and 3.70 gear. The dyno graph on page 1 shows that we were not pushing the RPMs either for that pull.

Not trying to get into a debate because mod for mod it would not make sense. Just trying to help the OP to understand what this set-up is capable of.

Hmm.. Who would do that??

Here is a few all stock bottom end of course... We have about 15 more of these combinations in our stable, stock bottom end cars comparatively in the mid teens boost range... Although some have YSis or AGP TT kits..

My personal car with a TH350 Trans, ECS SC Kit 15psi.

------------

756rwhp on 3.47" SC pulley (13.5psi), J-Rod a while ago before he upped it to the next video ..

J-Rod making 882rwhp boost only.. 919rwhp with a 35 shot nitrous... Look for some larger numbers coming soon on his 73k mile fully abused stock bottom end..

J-Rod rowing to a 10.54 pass for the stick bottom end record.

------------

Birm - ECS SC1500 Kit, 13 PSI...

------------

ECS SC1500 Supercharger Kit - 13.5psi, FSP Custom Blower Camshaft Package,

------------

Car has been 6.06 best in 1/8th mile (Mid 9 1/4 mile), TH400 Trans, Stock Bottom, NA Cam

Yep! it is a dry filter so NO oil after you wash.. Normally I tell people run it under the sink with water, maybe a bit of dawn detergent (A SMALL amount), and let it sit overnight so it dries out.
