mixed feeling about nitto invo

so my dad and i decided its time to get new tires for my SS. at least new back tires that is. i am liking the nitto invos. so we went down to are local bell tire and they had nothing good to say about nitto invos. they said they are made in china, and can leak. my dad had bad experiences with china made tires. tomorrow my dad is going to ask his buddy that knows about tires.

i am looking for good/bad reviews on nitto invo.

So far I really like mine. Great traction and zero road noise

Nitto are made in Japan. Higher quality than Chinese stuff. I have the Invo tires on most of my vehicles, they are my favorite tire at the moment. Especially at the price.

Hello Nine Ball how would you compare the Invo against 555r for an occasional drag race and life expectancy ? I have over 500 rwhp w/4.11 gears, 20" stock ss wheels. Thanks; Terry.

Nitto 555R drag radial has quite a bit more grip than the Invo does. Those are excellent daily-drivable drag radials. The Invo is just a nice all-around street tire, with decent traction, good rain traction, smooth ride, quiet on the road too.

The Pirelli tires are decent for their current price, since the price went down on them. I'd still prefer my Invo tires over them though. The tires are comparable, but I like the ride quality and traction a little better on the Invo.

You are correct Bob, Nitto is a division of Toyo Tires, which have a stellar reputation. I usually avoid the Chinese/Korean tires like Kuhmo, Nanking, etc...

I had a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Silverado 4x4. My local tire dealers at the time had never heard of Nitto's until I had one source them and order for me. I got 75000 miles out of those tires and they were the best tires I have ever owned. I put Yokahama Geolander ATS's on after they wore out because I read they were supposed to be great and they were $20 per tire cheaper so I figured I'd give them a try...those were the worst tires I have ever ran. I know this is All Terrain tires verses performance street tires, but the point is Nitto makes great quality tires at fair prices compared to Goodyear, BFG, Michelin, etc. When my Pirelli's wear out, I'd be very happy to go with a Nitto tire as replacement.

Speaking of the stock tires, what is everyone getting for mileage out of them? I understand the rears life expectancy is less

i got about 14k out of my rear ones . but i would bet i could have gotten more. the first 10k miles on my car. i went to the drag once, and did a few burnouts. and other stuff like that. i don't drive that way anymore.

One of my customers (Moni) had something like 22K miles on her stock Pirelli tires, and they probably had another 6K worth of tread remaining. All highway miles, she has a long commute for work. It was absurd how many miles were on them, LOL. Most people wear them out around 15K miles.
