Not true. Hearing is scheduled for tomorrow March 10th in Springfield.
That still doesn't stop people from writing in to support it. $800,000 a year savings in plate production costs is at least a start in straightening out this state's budget mess.

It is your decision not theirs. Enough getting trampled on by political hacks. This state is so deep in debt right now, they need to start doing everything they can to manage the problem.

Whatever. I am only pointing out the projected savings in this one area is fairly significant.
I am not taking this out to an extreme political debate here. As an enthusiast this is a side benefit to me at least. Every cent that can be cut from the budget is a plus. Not going down the road about pensions, tax increases, government frivolity with taxpayer money, etc. That belongs in a Political forum. The bottomline here that as an enthusiast, I like the idea of elminating the need for a front license plate , purely from an aesthetic standpoint. The projected $800,000 savings in costs to the state without increasing taxes or fees is a positive side benefit. This isn't a political dabte. I am pointing out a situation that is of interest to enthusiasts. That happens to have a positive effect on the state's financial picture. End of story.

Forget state savings. We'll save money by not getting ticketed for lack of a front plate.

You got that right. I haven't had a front plate on my last three Camaros.
This is why I sent notes to my Legislators in support.

Geez, What is it about everything having to turn in to a policitcal rant.
All I pointed out was thancillary savings of a projected $800,000 on this and then iut has to go into a spiral about the state spending and how it is just a drop in the bucket. The bottomline here is we as enthusiasts have an opportunity to effect a change. Again the Term Whatever comes to mind.......

Regardless, I encourage members to write their state legislatuors to support this change in Illinois law.
No insults and no more junk here. Inparticular, alleging my "whatever" comment is a denial of reality. Sorry Liberty, but this website is dedicated to Ffth Generation Camaros and not debates on Political issues such as budgets. Which is why I don't see the need for consistently turning topics like this into issues like you have. I only pointed out the projected savings, into a policy comment on the Illinois State financial troubles. In my business you take every opportunity you can to save money where ever and when ever you can. Political boards are all over the internet. Post there. Out.

Meh, 4 years of 350Z ownership with no front plate and zero tickets, I'll keep gambling with the Camaro. I refuse to add that hideous thing to the front of my car.
Great, probably just jynxed myself...
