i dont want to adorn the camro with guages and crap, trying to keep it real clean, but i use HPT scanner and a LM-1 / tailsniffer for now. saw a nice set of knock ears at sema.
the wife even let me look into buying a portable dyno, to fulfill my enthusiast needs.

the efi live guy from new zealand was real cool, after talking with HPT AND EFI LIVE in person back to back, efi clearly was the better option. heard too many "i dont know's" from hpt, in regards to the camaro bugs. bluecat's ve table magic is already built into efi.
Thanx hot ss ( I think Curtis) but with winter closing in on us the Camaro will be going under the cover for the winter very soon. This will be something GM will hopefully deal with in the spring.

I have never gotten it to do more than "shutter" 5-6 feet. This is with traction control AND stabilitrack off.

Today I got smoked by a 3.8L Lancer with a turbo. (260hp stock +??) I didn't even catch up until 60-65ish. It was never beating me by as much as a car length but still. My car never broke free. The thing is the 400hp pure gas car with mostly low end hp and torque should have had that car off the line. If anything it should have lost in the long haul.

Has anyone tried the sport mode? If not shift in to manual mode and don't use the tapshift it will say S instead of D or M. Then turn off the traction control and try it out. Mine would break them loose with ease before I sent it to Lingenfelter to get the 650 hp upgrade. Before it went there it was very fast!!! I can't wait to feel the power when they are finished. Here is a picture of my motor last week.

Manual mode, tap shift in to 1st, traction and stab control off. From a dead stop just floor it. Spins the tires well into second. I have broken it in hard with lots of 6 grand shifts

Burnouts

I've noticed that the electronic throttle is very sensitive to position AND force/speed with which you nail it. I get a HUGE difference when I "floor it" normally versus literally punching it down fast and hard...

What do you all think.....is there a dealer trip in my near future for them to try and trouble shoot, or is this about normal?
I do know it is running very rich as the tail pipes are are pitch black with soot.
Spring will be a vector motorsports tune I think.
These tires are very sticky. In addition it sounds like you have poor fuel quality. Make sure the gas you are putting in does not have a large mixture of ethenol. My car has always been strong, but after a tune I can not drive with TC off.

Have you tried the fuse pull? If dealer put 87 octane in your tank you need to do it to get your car back on the high octane tables.

Pull fuse 5 and 20 in the engine bay fues box and I let mine site over night any time I think I may of got bad gas. Brings her right back to life.

No one has a tranny upgrade yet. I think he is purely speaking of additional HP.
