My 1le refused to go into gear last night

After letting the car sit in my garage for a week , it refused to go into any gear! I also let it warm up for 60 sec before attempting to put in gear. Then i shut the car off to restart it and it went into gear. Has anyone expeirienced this problem? And the car only has 140 miles, also in neutral it has a low wineing sound is this car a lemon? And the clunking noise when switching gears is killing me . I am very disappointed that a new car car get locked out of its gears!

There is nothing wrong with you're car. you need to do a bit or research before you start making threads like this.

Relax and approach this issue rationally rather than starting multiple threads and making yourself look silly.

You have a warranty issue; attempt repairs through the proper channels and if that doesn't work, then you have a right to complain.

Sorry, I don't hear a problem other than operator error. Are you new to manuals? Did you try double clutching? I personally prefer a transmission that has a mechanical feel.

Sounds like a clutch problem. Have you checked the fluid reservoir?

Yes, I can understand that. I'd be unhappy too. What I wouldn't do is go on a public forum and start telling people not to buy a 1LE or American cars. I'd go on the forum, research the problem, see if there's a common solution and resolve the issue. If you over-react like this to every issue you have in life, I foresee a short unhappy future.

You have a warranty. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you know how to drive a manual transmission and you actually have a problem.

Good luck with your plan. I'm doubtful you'll find complete satisfaction with any manufacturer. All of them have problems and failures. That is why almost every car manufacturer out there offers a warranty. If cars didn't have unforeseen, premature failures, there'd be no reason to offer a warranty.

Really??? Or are you just ranting??? That's kinda extreme and you probably should've never bought the car in the first place if the first reaction is to respond like that. Nobody likes to have a problem with a brand new vehicle, so being pissed is expected, but swearing off American autos on the issue is a bit much...

Ok. Time to relax bud. If you are that concerned take it to the dealer first thing in the morning and them look at it. That is what your new car warranty is for.

And just like others have said, coming on here and telling people not to buy a 1LE and going on about with 140 miles you will never buy an American car again will not help you get the answers that you are looking for.
