True. But the cam sensor is another story. Good point though.

Eyebrowed those pistons pretty good. That was not cam phasing, that was incorrect install. The heads will need valves replaced, and possible guide damage (can be checked).

On #'s matching, cars & trucks today are made out of nearly 100% recyclable materials so you may some day have something there.

One thing I see there I do not like is they did not fog your cylinders and did not evacuate the antifreeze from the cylinders and I already see rust forming there. Are they going to refire it letting the "pitted" cylinder ride, one there is rust there will always be a flaw in a honed finished cylinder and a hot spot let alone letting rings cut rust. Usually no big deal but I hate that laziness.

Damn I would be livid. I hope they make this right for you. On another note those pistons can be taken out you don't need those to run. (This will be what they tell you next)

Anyone know where to get the best deal on a lightly used 2012-2013 Mustang 5.0?

I don't understand how the valve hit the piston on the opposite side of the valve relief cut, shouldn't the cut be where the valve hit the piston?

So the District GM rep just called me. He claims they have been trying ALL day to get GM to give me a new motor but the engineers won't do it because the car is "Heavily Modified" according to the dealership.

I have a CAI intake, a painted Throttle body and cat-back exhaust lol

The "Engineers responsible for sending out those motors said they will fix it now and if it breaks again, they will replace the motor"

LMAO

However those parts did not create the failure remind him, and remind him that you may persue this further without arbitration because he just arbitrated on behalf of GM for you and your lawyer will be the next call.

Glad to hear GM wil replace the engine if it breaks again.
It won't take long to break it again.

Well there goes your headers. You tune that car after the repair and the engine blows I can guarantee GM will blame the tune and not warranty it.

Yep. I just talked to the wife. I'm gonna put the stock wheels, spoiler, skirts, hood, intake etc etc back on and sell the car. I honestly don't care at this point. I'll look at Mustangs and possibly a leftover '13 SS or just buy a new Wrangler 4 door and walk away from 2 door cars.

The GM rep just called me back and said he is going to try like hell to get me some new pistons as well as the valves they ordered.

Yeah, I think you'd have more problems down the road with a rebuilt engine. I'd demand a new engine, or tell them since they ****ed up the car they can keep it.

I did. I asked the GM rep to look into the dealer or GM buying the car back. I'll leave it there and I'm calling around for an attorney tomorrow.
