Any tips on replacing ac compressor coil?

Need to replace AC Compressor coil. I am trying to avoid removing the Compressor. Any tricks to lock the pulley? I'm out of ideas....

That sounds like a royal PITA to do in-car. Is it substantially cheaper than just replacing the compressor? The compressor removal is not bad at all really and would likely make this job a lot easier. But I have no idea what goes into swapping out the AC clutch itself, so I could also be talking out of me ass. I would be to worried that the clutch/coil failure left any metal in the rest of the system.

I swapped out with a brand new AC Delco compressor for like $200 and had the peace of mind knowing I had all new seals. Rented a vacuum pump from Advance auto, hooked up my HVAC manifold gauge set and charged that beotch ice cold.

Edit: Sorry, I realize my post is pretty much useless to you. I just had no idea you could service the compressor in-car or even replace the clutch/coil.

The Compressor is fine. I snapped power plug clean off the coil. Compressor is around 300 coil was $25 plus I have to flush the coolant if I remove the Compressor.

Ok, well that makes perfect sense now. I could swear someone posted about that exact issue a few months ago.
