Really awesome, I'm going to look up some more on YouTube. The GT500 was very impressive with a 4th. place, ZL1 6th. right after a Porsche I think.

. I would expect the ZL1 to get beaten by a NA 911 on a road course but this is kinda sad. In all honesty though they should have used a ZR1 instead considering the Lambo and McClaren. Thats just not even fair to put the ZL1 in the same field as the top 3 cars. It does put to rest the C63 Black vs ZL1 debate though as both cars ran exactly the same time. In another thread people were saying that the ZL1 would get destoyed by the C63 Black. I said it was a drivers race. Looks like I was correct.

OK, fine, but "why no Corvette ZR1?" Well, because three years ago, when the ZR1 competed in our 2009 Best Driver's Car, it finished in 6th place behind the 2010 Shelby GT500. As Ron Kiino put it then (with a hat tip to Tom McCahill), "The ZR1 is about as hairy as a gorilla bathing in Rogaine." Since it didn't win then and hasn't been substantially changed since, we didn't invite the Blue Devil back.

Good points, would have been nice to see some vettes, but what's the point if they're just going to continue to get butt kicked. It's like rubbing salt in a wound.

Well the Z06/Z07 they tested last year had the best time around Laguna Seca in the 2011 competition, even if it didn't get ranked number one overall. I'm breaking my own rules here, but the Z06/Z07s 2011 lap time also beat all the 2012 lap times as well. Though it barely edged out the Mclaren by only one-tenth.
