The G8 GXP was the fastest and strongest production vehicle that Pontiac ever produced(advertised by Pontiac as such). Had many tell me otherwise about the "big blocks" of the day that would hand its a$$ stock for stock.

So with that said, what do you believe it is equal to?
Tell her it's like a 377... SBC 400 block w/ a 350 crank...

I'm not hating on small blocks nor am i saying they're not capable. I've been building/rocking small blocks my whole life..but you cant compare the 23* sbc to a 15* LSx, im sorry, but stock for stock, the LSx outclasses ANY factory made sbc in every way (HP, TQ, MPG, Efficiency, etc).

Built SBC vs Built LSx is a whole other topic..let's try NOT to go there
just the ls3 and ls7 and ls2 the rest can be compared to some factory bbc and few sbc. hp wise. the rest of the ls series dont really compare to those engines

I think what you are missing is the units of piston displacement.

The LS3 is.......

6.2 liters

which roughly equals

376 cubic inches

....... you just need a handy volume unit converter
