2014 LS door panel upgrade to SS with ABL? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So my used 2014 Camaro that I just got is in almost pristine condition but my driver side door panel has a lot of nicks and scratches on it like someone kept hitting it with a watch or something. Anyways I have been thinking about switching the door panels out. I would like to know if I can upgrade to the SS door panels with the ABL in them already as I'm planning to get the dash ABL kit. Will the SS door panels fit the LS with no issues/modification needed? Just want to make sure before I go out and buy them first.

Also if I can do this with no real hassle, what will I need to get the ABL in the SS door panels to work with the LS Camaro?

yup, the SS panels should fit perfectly.

Thanks for the quick reply. Forgot to ask the years of the SS door panels. 10-15 Should all go in easy right?

Yes they're all interchangeable and Gen 5 DIY sells the pigtail to tap into your window switch to hook up the ambient lighting.

Sorry to bring up an old post but I'm finally getting ready to do this and got 1 more question before I pull the trigger. Now I need to get the Clear Dash trim as well for that abl kit. Those are all interchangeable to the LS camaro as well right?

Yes ..they just pop out..but they wont light up unless you get the kit from gen5diy

For 2014 camaro ls, you will have the abl pigtail already in your door wiring harness to use on the SS (abl)or such door panel. I installed zl1 (abl) door panels and it was plug and play from factory. Now your dash abl seems to require the gen5 harness. I did not do that yet so I cannot speak to the requirements for dash.
