Blue reconsidered

Alright GM, men are not generally not trained in colors past the "8 pack of Crayolas." This why we frequently argue whether something is purple or pink with our women. Also 7% of the male population is likely to be color blind to some color the spectrum verses .4% of women. Imperial blue is not blue as I am checking the "8 pack." Imperial blue is black from a distance, dark purple as you get closer (with some direct sunlight), and some kind of weird dark-purple-blue anomaly.

Lets look at the spectrum...

White- is the absence of all colors
Silver- is the absence of all colors, with some shiny on it
Black-presence of all colors (or absence of light)
Grey-almost black- with the increase of light

Now for the other colors that all exist on the right spectrum.

Reds - Yes these are real reds.
Orange-Still in the red family.
Yellows- Yes these are real yellows
Synergy Green- close to center but still hugging the right.

So this then begs the question, regardless of your ABM paint wasting away, how do you completely eliminate one side of the color spectrum? Your buyers for blue will default to black or grey. Historically you have had no problem producing some great blues.

Just something to consider.

^^^ See that immediately triggered "gray" in my mind, until I studied it closer.

I had a hard time deciding between the 2 blues offered for the 2010 Camaro. As a fan of blue, (my last 6 cars have all been blue) I knew it was gonna be either ABM or IBM. The ABM that I saw on the HHR was just way too much green for me so I settled for the IBM. I'm not totally thrilled with the IBM either because I see way too much purple in it. I'm hoping that 2012 will bring a true blue back and I will happily trade mine in.

I agree wholeheartedly. Can't figure out for the life of me how GM can't give us a decent blue. Not aqua. Heck, give us a poll on your website GM, let the fans pick it for you.

I'm holding out for Berlin Blue from the Dusk concept. Until then, it's black for me.

Blue Color

Well GM did all ABM owners a favor by discontinuing the color....however, that being said I NEVER have had anyone see my car and say they hate the color. At shows it stands out- even among other 5th gens. (no offense to any other color because I like ALL Camaros and all colors). They will bring a blue back I bet- just hopefully not ABM. For now, I will just keep loving my special edition Camaro .

Oh I don't hate ABM, just a bit too much green in it for me. Some pics it looks really blue, some more green. As for the IROC blue, I had an 89 in that color. Wish I could remember what it was called.
