Need a truck
Looking at a 4x4 Z71 Silveriado, MSRP is 50k, so far discussions are at 43k out the door. But just not sure if that is good enough with all the sales they are having.
I have not bought a truck for awhile and seems prices have went way up anyone buy a truck lately? Any thoughts on out the door vs MSRP? |

Ford is advertising $10K off MSRP for their F250 with a plow around here.

7K is better than my GM employee discount.

I just purchased a new 2016 GMC Z71 SLT Double cab in Sept for $41,000. They still had a few 16s left on the lot. Sticker was $51,320

That's 16% off and by this time 20% would be more in line. |

I don't think $43k is too bad if it includes tax/title and a tint job.
Do you need a full size or could you go with a smaller/cheaper Colorado?

Unless size of the vehicle is a major factor (IE, cant park a fullsize at your place or get around town) I don't see any reason to buy the smaller truck, they are nearly the same price. My 15 4x4 quad cab regular bed Z71 has reached 26 mpg highway in the mountains here when I was really trying, average is 19-21.

The Colorado was a 4x4 and the Silverado is not, but still a V8 vs V6 and zero difference. |

That's about going rate here as well. Something else to consider:
