Thanks again. Funny story.. I found a pen in the car while testing under the seats for a cryotherapy place in Omaha, where my dealer said the car was from. I emailed them and asked if maybe they knew the owner... no luck there, so I'm still hoping on my dealer getting some info so I'm not in the dark as to what I need to do. |

You can not take the button out due to it will break the tabs off of it. If the buttons are in correctly they will be flush with the center of the knob. If the picture on the OP is your car they appear to be seated correctly. The buttons “pop” in from the front but there is no access to it from behind because of the circuit board for the controls.

Just went for a nice long ride with the top down. I can confirm that not only do the lights on the seat warmers not work, but the seat warmers themselves don't work.
PAC has also confirmed that even if the light tubes were not installed that the seat warmers would still work, just no lights. The only other possibility I can think of is that the kit itself is malfunctioning. But everything else works great. So I have a feeling the issue is somewhere else. Would checking for 12v at the fusebox do any good? Should there be 12v at seat warmers when turned on as well? Anyplace else to check? Thanks again for all your help. |

its not the button that would be wrong, its the whole dial. you will have to remove the entire pac unit. there is 2 screws holding the dials on from behind.

I would lean the seat forward, unzip the back of the cover and check the wires for voltage at the seat before I pulled the dash apart.

I tried unplugging the unit under the seat. The wires that go up to the seat read 2 ohms. The other end, which I assume supplies power, I couldn't even get one of the pins to show continuity with ground. That's why I was wondering if checking the fusebox seat warmer for power would be worthwhile as well. |

Ok, looking around I found this thread:
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=516732 2nd response says the seat heaters don't come on unless it's under 40f. Is that true? |

My seat warmers come on anytime the button is pressed. The end of the zipper is a pretty good ways up there. It’s probably easier to untuck the black plastic “bar” that runs the length of the seat to give you some more working room to get the end of the zipper

confirmed 12v at the fuse. I hope my dealer is able to get some info from the PO as I don't know were else to look and I don't want to just throw $100 into new knobs only to have that not work.
Time to maybe look up a wiring diagram to see where else down the line I can check for 12v. I don't imagine a bluetooth scan tool would tell me anything. |

Did you unzip the seat, turn on the seat warmers and check for voltage in the seat. You can even do this with a test light.

Ok, I got ahold of a stock HVAC control unit. Plugged it in, started the car, still nothing. No lights on either.
So I am guessing it's something else. My next step is to double check the elements themselves. But I have yet to find a case where if the wires were broken or the elements were shot that the lights won't come on. Most come on for at least 30 seconds then shut off. |

You said you checked for voltage at the fuse. Did you check for it in the harness behind the dash at the buttons?
