Shift Points on the SCT tuner

I just had my SCT tuner custom tune uploaded to my car from Ted at Jannetty and it is incredible!

I do have a question though: Is it possible to change shift points when you have a custom tune uploaded to the car????

I am a little leary of getting in the tuner and messing around when I know Ted knows so much better than I, but I was wondering if I can do other custom stuff with Ted's tune already installed?!

THoughts?!?!

Ted has already maximized your tune. I wouldn't mess with it, if you're not really satisfied in how your vehicle is performing, I would call Ted and see if there is any room for improvement. I.E. Shift points, but more than likely you're good to go.

The more I drive the car, the more I realize that Ted is the master of the tune for sure! I am noticing more and more in terms of performance changes and the shift points are not as hard, but at the perfect spot for multiple purposes.

Thanks for the input guys! I love this forum!

I think when I do my tune I will have it done for 91 octane. It would suck to be tuned for 93 and go somewhere and you only get 91 and blow a motor.

That's an easy solution. The SCT lets you have multiple tunes in the device. So if you travel outside of your normal location, you can just plug it in, tune for the corret octane and go on motoring.

Thanks for the Props, to answer your question;

The SCT tuner has NO provisions to change shift points.

There are some User Adjustable Options for fuel and timing If I turn them on, but I normally don't because if a change needs to be made I should be notified so it is done correctly.

Shift points are optimized for your combination so no changes will benefit you at this point.

Thanks again.

Ted.
