X2Martell24 – Your Camaro looks great and we’re glad you like it! It’s amazing what a drop in ride height does for the look of the Camaro. Looking good!
Smoky – It’s much better to install the Chassis Max Strut Tower Brace while you have the strut assemblies out for the spring installation. The brace does make a difference in the performance when you push the car hard. If it didn’t, they wouldn’t put one on the new ZL1.

Ok, so I am still LOVING the entire kit, but a new noise just started. (or just noticing after the excitement lowered a bit) I have searched and read a ton on C5 about it, but with different answers (as usual). I am experiencing a lot of 'clunking' noise only on the front passenger side. It isn't during steering but only over bumps or during harder breaking. I figured with the stronger/thicker end links I may get some noise, but why just on one side?? I double checked all my specs and had it professionally aligned and re timed so I doubt something is loose, but it sure sounds like it. Can I get some info straight from the horses mouth so I can get my stupid smile back while driving and stop worrying im breaking new parts??!! Thanks!! |

I totally agree that is why I included one in my project which was done months ago. And for those that may ask, YES it can be removed for sevice without strut removal. Only required for initial install.

Mine was doing this too but I finally narrowed it down to the exhaust hitting the chassis brace.

The other noises were coming from the endlinks, which simply had to be RE-tightened after a couple hundred miles, even with the use of lock-tite. The little noises here and there are to be expected when getting solid, tight parts. I just wish I was a little less anal about the noises! Thanks! |
