FYI for people reading this wondering, it was unlikely that it was oil on the plugs. They get some carbon buildup on them that is normal. When the gas gets on them because it is "flooded" or misfiring it tends to look like oil but it's not. The best way I found to tell the difference is with a white tissue and dab the liquid on the tissue or the corner of a white paper towel to get a sample of the liquid that's on the plug. It's like wiping the dipstick, you can see if it's exactly like the dipstick oil, or like gasoline. I didn't mention it earlier because we were in agreement it was likely valvetrain related and going to be repaired by a mechanic in this case.

When you have time we would all like some more detail.

Was the broken pushrod the one for the damaged rocker arm?
Any idea how the rocker am and push rod were damaged?
Is your engine stock? If not what are the mods?
