Found a 1 owner 73 LT

Found a 73 LT from the original owner who bought car new with only 13 miles on odometer. I drove 9 hours to look at it, offered a price and paid $1500 cash right then. Car was 100% complete and AC would still work when charged up (had leak). I took of the rally rims and stuck the Centerlines on her for the looks, but all she has is a 350 with a 2bbl under the hood ;(.

Hopefully one day she will be restored pristine as I promised the car to my grandson. I just dont see these cars on the road anymore like I used too except at car shows.

This car was a good find, especially when it was a one owner car. In fact , this car was owned by a woman in Savannah Ga. She bought it new when she graduated from college. She still had the original title and paperwork on car. The original title was at the same address where I picked up the car at which was her moms house. The Chevy dealership was 3 miles from her house where it was sold from. I pulled in there on my way back home hoping to get some service records on the car but they said their records did not go back that far. The salesmen there were amazed that the car was still running and in the same town it was originally bought from. What was amazing was that nobody came to look at the Camaro after she posted on Craigslist. My friend found the ad for me... Guess how she spelled the camaro for the ad? COMERO. That's why nobody jumped on the ad I suppose. My lucky day.

My first Camaro was a 1971 that I bought in 1980 for $600. My first high school car. Car only needed a head job and for less than $200 I was styling in a kool car at 16. This 73' camaro brings back memories ....

Current condition of my 73' LT, she patiently awaits my return. Completed all new sheet metal from floorpan, firewall, upper dash & cowl, both rear quarters and entire trunk area. New trunk lid and 4" metal cowl hood as well as doors from 81 Z28. New bumpers, seats, all Hotchkiss suspension, built 454 bbc/400TH, and a posi/disc rotor setup from a 81' turbo Trans-Am (3.01 gears) await.

It was a half attempt of a "back-yard" paint job by her brother many years ago before she decided to sell the car. She did tell me that she had to replace the passenger door as she was hit in the side like within the first 3 years of owning the car. Sure enough, I pulled door trim back and the door was red underneath. The original color was some sort of similiar blue color as it appeared when I was sanding the roof down. The lady who owned it said she the car was called "ole blue" in Savannah.

Yea, the rain is so bad today. The 73' is now sitting on the old "rotiss" as the last photo above shows. Parked right next to her is the IOM 2013 SS that gets all my attention (& $$) lately. Makes her jealous. LOL !!
