Goo's SGM Build Thread
Went to the dealership to look at a Camaro and test drove this 2011 2SS/RS:
Ended up buying this 2011 2LT/RS: Made some changes to it, had fun, made it my own... but always had the SS in the back of my mind... Then, after a year and a half I found this: A used 2011 2SS/RS with fewer than 3000 miles on her. So, I traded my IOM in for a SGM For now I am leaving the drivetrain alone and focusing on the appearance. Things I've done so far: Exterior Mods · ACS TL1 Hood Insert painted Satin Black · “GREENGO” personalized license plate · Tint all around · Forgestar F14's 20X9.5 and 20X10.5 · Michelin Pilot Super Sports, front 275/35 and rear 295/35 · 1LE rear diffuser · Quad exhaust tips · Matte black front fascia vinyl with red pin strip · Matte black mail slot vinyl · Matte black rear vinyl with bowtie cutout · Rear bowtie delete · Satin black rear light bezels · Removed the stripes · Hot Wheels Ed. Stripe kit · ZL1/Hot Wheels Ed. Spoiler · Muffler delete Lighting Mods · Green LED dome light · Green LED footwell lights Performance Mods I have more plans... and more changes to add soon... Looks good, I have left the drivetrain alone for the most part. Suspension is what I am more interested in but appearance I am working on as well.
It will never end

The satin black was the right choice in my opinion! It looks great on the SGM! When I read your first post, I was thinking man, how did he go to look at a 2SS and end up with a 2LT?! But I quickly saw that you made an upgrade! Good luck on your build. Looking forward to seeing what else you have in store.

Thanks guys.
I know AGM would be easier to paint... but I like the satin. I'll be glad when I can get it re-painted and checked off my list. |
