Tonight is the night if I see 5 months of researching, datalogging, experimenting, and working on the engine pays off. DA will be around 1000 it looks like, same as the last time I ran when I trapped 107. Currently I'm running 18 to 17 degrees of timing, hopefully I can get 19 degrees by tonight.
I did do a test launch this morning on a "closed" road and it threw my head back into the headrest and scared me during 1st gear, so I guess the car is saying "let's make some money". |

Awesome! Remind me...are you running drag radials this time or street tires?

BFGoodrich Sport Comp- 2's, 275 in the back. Last time I had 245 Pirelli All-seasons that spun through the first 330'. Drag radials will probably be needed when I throw 3.91 gears in.
The Mustang will be also racing, new tune, 3.73 gears and drive shaft. She still has 235 Pirelli All-seasons but has a LSD so she can launch better. |

You are going to run 3.91 gears with a Supercharger? Won't that just spin the wheels when you have street tires on?

Don't know, enough tire it might be fine. Who knows, our cars might be fat enough to handle it.

Thanks, hoping so too.
Got my GoPro packed, I also have the IPF tuner loaded with V60C1C7 tune if the V60C1C10 that I have loaded is slower than 108. Also have my Surface with Trifecta tune software so I can see if the transmission tune loaded will help (if I'm doing poorly). |

Only 13.3, but I did get some information. My timing advance was never above 15 degrees so all power I had was gone. My IAT's were almost 100 degrees on a 50 degree night. I'll post some more information later.

Here are the timeslips. First 3 runs I was in the left lane against a 392 Hemi Challenger twice, and a truck the last time. Last 2 runs are against my Wife and her Mustang. The last run my tires were spinning and my wife actually got sideways in her Mustang from no traction.
I took my Subwoofer box out trying to lighten my car but I may need it to launch, seems like my car launches harder on public roads with it in. Going to leave the current tunes in there till I run again. The first run after loading the C7 tune my AFR spiked to 14:1 during WOT. By the time I was going home it was at 12:1, so the computer learned. |

Of course today when I datalog my Timing is 19 degrees. I relocated the IAT sensor after the intercooler behind the passenger fog light. Before it was just before the throttle body behind the radiator, the sensor may have been heatsoaked from the hot air being blown on it by the fans.
I'm also getting a burst knock right when I hit peak torque. I remember Ted from Jannety racing saying that the highest cylinder pressure will be at peak torque, so I have no clue how to really fix that. I don't know if its from detonation or some noise. I may or may not go to the track this Friday, but I will be going on the 18th since my parents want to watch me and my wife race again. In the mean time, here is a picture a friend took while I was leaving the line. |
