I’ve set some very fast laptimes on OE pads. I also abuse brakes in the brake zone (1.3g - 1.1g as aero fades) and am on the abs threshold. No issues. You have to be one hell of a driver to beat the stock pads capabilities at the limit. Feel is another conversation, however. Initial bite on Gloc, DTC etc will probably be better but at the cost of stock pads and the ability to not have to swap it’s a no brainer for me.

OEM pads are perfect for track days. If you have converted to a race car then maybe not. Also OEM are 9mm when new, I will not not begin a trackday weekend if less than 5mm. I could probably go to 4 or 3, but the extra mm provides peace of mind. Most clubs have a minimum of about 5mm.
