Not sure where you're going here - but a .50" (1/2") wider rear wheel accomodates a 13/16" (.69") wider tire with no problems. My understanding is the Z/28 rear wheels were designed for the 325 width - but because the car ran a quicker 'ring time with 305's - they went that direction on all 4 corners for production. Did I do something wrong w/325's for DD duty? I thought it was the right application for what I'm doing with the car.

Looking forward to seeing a few of the new Z's on the road next year and getting to meet some of the folks that truly know what these cars represent - as in Z/28 vs Z28. I've been waiting for this car ... a long time. I grew up @ Road America and I knew Mark Donahue. He was my hero. |

No,left hand drive is fine,in fact it helps define its exclusivity.
I owned a 2010 1SS,for 5 and half years and this is a different kettle of fish. |

Having owned a IOM,Gen 5,Camaro 1SS for 5 and half years,i needed my interest refreshing.
I took a Z28 out for a test in Reno, during our family vacation to Hot August Nights. They wanted MSRP plus 10k mark up.They did budge a little, but no where near where i needed to be. Using the knowledge accrued from this great forum,i was looking in the ball park of early 60s,as prices were expected to drop. I rang and emailed several dealers, but no one was interested in a deal involving export. Then i saw a 340 miles,Black with A/C,Z28 at Cox Chevy,Bradenton.A really helpful young salesman, was up for doing a deal and all it entails [hi 5 to Tim Spence!!] After numerous Emails,Texts and phone calls,to find out the 'actual' history and mileage of the car, [i was never to see ,until after the deal was done!!]We then couriered documents and affidavits to get out of State Tax and securely sent a cheque for $59000 across 'The Pond'. I hired an agent in England to ship the car from Coxs',to Miami, then to the U.K.,by container ship, then to deal with the U.K. Vehicle Type Approval for use on our roads. Regretfully, half way through the process, the agencies owner died,so i jumped ship and found another agent,to take the process over. Four months after, the deal was concluded at Coxs',the Zee arrived at my house. My agent had to do a number of alterations to the lighting and side markers, fit ZL1 rock guards,Tint the windows and front and rear lights, add a sun shield Tint, also fit the Seibon C/F spoiler. If a Porsche,Bentley,Jag or Aston were in my garage,of twice the price i would not be as happy as i am now. Thanks for reading |

Yes,i saw that guys experiences too.
The U.K. Govt wants 30% tax, on new and fairly new [up to about 20yo]vehicles. Mine came in at about £56,000. To equate, that is the brand new price of an Audi RS4.There are probably a 1000 or more RS4s on British roads, year after year and a Camaro5 forum member speculated yesterday that, mine 'could' be the only 2014/15 Z28 in the whole U.K.,of which we have 34 Million vehicles on our roads. What price for exclusivity? |

Actually, the "options" you describe are dealer-installed, not factory. As mentioned, the A/C & speaker package is the sole *factory* option available. Even the "indoor vehicle cover," which appears on the window sticker (aka Monroney) on cars so optioned, will indicate that it is dealer installed. There are many "options" a dealer might install on a Z/28 (e.g. - undercoating, stripes, backup camera, etc.), but they wouldn't be considered factory or stock, even if available from the GM accessory catalog (like the wickerbill or gauges you mention). Nitpicking? Maybe a bit.
