BLIS for Camaro?

I read somewhere on another post that the Caddy CTS coupe has BLIS (Blind Spot Information System for those who don't know the acronym). Would it be that cost prohibitive to put it on Camaro? I know that proper mirror placement and road awareness will suffice, but the extra layer of safety is always nice to have. Anyone else want BLIS?

Would I mind it? No.
Is it a necessity? No.

I would love BLIS on my Camaro. If there's any car that needs it its a 5th gen. Switching to the left lane sometimes is cross your fingers and hope for the best. I have it on my daily driver and love it. Do I need it no I drove 20 years without it but can it help absolutely.

Not sure why this wouldn't be possible with any car with active backup sensors.

IMO most drivers don't know how to properly adjust their mirrors.

It can be useful, and I would like it on my Camaro. However I have witnessed my wife using the light instead of the mirror to tell if she could go over, and like any technology it has it's limits, she cut off the car next to her because the light did not turn on. I like them and use them quite a bit, but you do need to actually look at the mirror though.

Totally agree but there's always 1 of every 10 or so lane changes I check my mirrors and over my shoulder and still out of no where somebody's there. BLIS eliminates this happening. Especially in the Camaro basically useless to look over your left shoulder all you have is your mirrors.
