The fuel filler is capless and there are no aftermarket caps that can be installed.

My '16 SS locks the fuel door when the driver's side door is locked.

...and if someone really wanted to put something in the gas tank do you really think a locking gas cap is truly going to stop them? Much like wheel locks the cap can be removed.

GM makes two locking caps, but they only appear to fit Silverado/Sierra at the moment.

84308352 and 84009129.

They made these due to snow/dust intrusion on the trucks.

It doesn't unless you added something aftermarket

The US models do not have the locking fuel door option, it wouldnt be hard to add on on or integrate it into the existing door lock system in my mind.

Just a heads up, make sure you keep the funnel that comes with it too. otherwise if you run out of gas you may have a really hard time putting gas in it lol

inspected and handled auto insurance claims for 34 years in the field, most claims with stuff put in the gas tank was of course vandalism claims. Usually there was other scratch / dent damage also from vandalism. Make sure you don't piss any body off or have enemies, I never considered vandalism a random act because there is always other damage to indicate dislike or hate.

I just bought a new 2018 1SS a couple of weeks ago and my fuel door won't open when the doors are locked. I've only done one fill up since then, so the only reason I knew of that was because the dealer showed me how the car had to be unlocked for the fuel door to open.
