I made the switch ZL1 to ZL1LE

Well, as the title says I made the switch. I had a 17 ZL1 that I absolutely loved, but I couldn't help myself. This car is just a beast and I can't wait to get it broken in and put it to good use. Here are a couple of pics. Paint correction, xpel and ceramic coating will be the first upgrades. Also, I had to change my screen name as 17ZL1Camaro was no longer appropriate.

What a stunning looking car! I'd be afraid to get it dirty.

Mine is awaiting Suntek PPF on the paint and Xpel Stealth on the black bits! I have been super stingy about not driving it much at all until my upcoming appointment!

I agree. I had a 17 ZL1 in Mosaic Black and loved it, but when I saw the NFG color in person I was impressed.

Would you please share us your driving street and road impressions of your new ZL1 1LE vs your prior 6th. Gen ZL1

I can't really compare to an earlier ZL1, but I like my ZLE much better than the '15 Z/28 that I had. It has the same basic suspension as the Z/28 did, but upgraded a bit, and the extra 150hp/tq is also very nice. The best 6-speed ratios in my opinion, although I think it would have been better overall with a 3.91 rear ratio.

I feel the interior is a great improvement. The ZLE has electronics that are contemporary and functional, and make my driving experience more pleasant. I don't have to do a voodoo dance to get my Android phone to connect properly and it will stream music, display texts, etc. like a champ.

I doubt I will ever track/race the car...it is a weekend road trip machine for me. And for what it costs, compared to it's closest performing contemporaries, it is a true bargain, IMO. To me, it's a great step up from my Z/28, which I did really love.

Greatest color, btw!!!

Take care,

JJ

I can go with the step up from the Z/28. I loved that Z/28 but this is way above that car.
