Hurst is a shifter company not a spoiler company. Right now these are basically hand-made... one off for each car.

I'm not sure which model # the tape is. I'll have to ask my hubby. I'm pretty sure it was a roll he got at the auto parts store.

Here's one pic I already had on my phone. It's too cloudy out to get a good pic today, but you can get the idea.

I don't know why it looks like there's a blemish on my fender. Must have been something on the lens. lol

The OEM emblem does look better than the repro that I have. I like that the letters have crests on them. Mine are just flat all the way accross. I almost just did what you did but I don't have the patience for trimming the tape.

Believe me, trimming the tape was the biggest pain in the butt, almost as bad as getting the factory lettering off the car. LOL

But, IMO, it was worth it. I love how it looks.

I have them on mine too, along with the SS emblems. It looks like yours are running uphill though.

Yep, that one isn't quite straight. It drives me crazy, so as soon as I have the patience I will be redoing it. The other side is fine.

It's so hard because you only get one shot at it. We tried marking it and it looked straight, but once we stuck it on and looked at it, we knew it wasn't right.

I don't have a pic of the whole car with the new emblems and it's been a crappy few days weather-wise here. But as soon as the sun comes out, I will take some new pics.

Hey everyone, been lurking here for months getting ideas and preparing myself for ownership of a Camaro. Just bought my summit white LS about three weeks ago. Haggled the rally stripes into the deal and got them put on yesterday. I opted for the glossy black. When I was back doing the final financial stuff and meeting with the gentleman about the stripes/other cosmetic and interior add ons, I was told they were going to have them painted on because they looked better than the vinyl.

Had them done yesterday and they weren't painted on, they were vinyl. Got home and noticed the quality of the stripes wasn't to my liking. I'm fine with the gloss, but throughout the stripes there are patches that aren't glossy. Almost like they are patches of matte black. I'm sure this has to do with the quality of the vinyl stripes from Chevrolet, correct? Can anyone else with gloss black let me know if theirs look like this? I prefer to have the gloss, but if they are going to be blotchy, I might as well go all matte black so it's uniform. Even my girlfriend thinks it looks bad. Also, I noticed there is glue dried on the hood between the stripes. From reading some other threads it looks like that will not be an issue and I will be taking it back to the dealer to have them take care of that.

At this point, do you suggest I speak w my contact person at the dealer and tell them I am not happy with the stripes (including the glue left on my hood). does anyone w a summit white have the matte black? I really wish I had an in-person example to look at w the matte, but at this point, I am almost certain the matte black is better than what i have at this point. Lastly, can I expect the dealer to want to charge me the full price to have the old stripes taken off and the matte put on?

Kind of wish my first post here was more positive, but any feedback would be appreciated.

It sounds like a poor job and the dealer may have used an aftermarket stripe kit. Either way you should insist they correct the problem at their expense. Doing the job correctly is their responsibility, not yours.

In in agreement with myold88. You waited and got the car you wanted the way you wanted it. Take it back to the dealership and show them the blotches. As far as the glue that is not finishing the detail work.
Let us know how it goes.
