I'm am almost willing to bet that your heated seat heater pad is shorted internally. I had to replace one due to it only coming on for about 20 seconds then turning off, just like you stated. The skip-shift has absolutelly nothing to do with the heated seats. They are on two different systems. The heated seats have a module to them selves located under the driver's seat.

That's what mine was doing on my passenger side, on like 4 or 5 different occasions. Then it stopped doing it for about a year, then started again. So I took it to the dealer it wouldn't do it for them.

Sorry I can't help more, I traded my car in. I've read the standard procedure is to find the wiring and clean all the connections, which usually solves the problem, then there's a controller you can replace if the problem persists.

All of them? FAIL....but whatever it's not your money. That's why you stay the hell away from the dealer once your car is no longer under warranty.
