The testing of Vmax ICEOLator & ported LLT throttle body

As many of you know, I sell a ton of Vmax motorsports parts because they are located right here in Tampa. Today at PowerTech performance in St. Petersburg tested a completely stock LLT V6 motor on a Camaro which was stock from the air intake box to the exhaust tips

As you know, there are no quality calibration platforms to tune the LLTs with, so the aftermarket go fast parts are being made which don't need tuning

Todays test car was pulled into the dyno bay and shut off while being strapped her down ( Big thanks to JC 615 for letting us use her green monster). After the Camaro was tied down and centered on the DynoJet 248, we did two pulls and shut the car down to install the ICEOlator and throttle body. We followed the instructions we provide and install the Vmax ICEOlator and ported throttle body.

Two deviations we did from the instructions was to skip adding the two rear bolts behind the manifold ( which is a choice in the directions) and a 4 inch bracket plate we didn't install which stabilizes the manifold to the block. Since the manifold sits 3/8" higher, the bracket became about a 1/4 short. Forcing it to work would crack the casing and the bracket provided no advantage .

Ill write up more with pictures, but don't just look at the peek of or 10 RWHP and 14 RWTQ gains in this graph. Look how the power spreads on the run 2 and the run 4 with the ICEOLator and ported throttle body when it hits 4200 RPMS. that was a shocker. I'm a believer because we showed 30 RWHP gains and 38 RWTQ. Those are solid gains between 3200 and 5500 RPM range.

The install was 45 minutes

We started with the LLT go kit consisting of the Vmax ported LLT throttle body and the Black ICEOlator. We didn't use the top spacer for our test. We just bolted on the ICEOlator and throttle body. The kit comes with instructions, but Ill post them in this thread.

Remove gasket and snip the nipples









we did not use a second gasket so the stock bolts are long enough and do not need to be replaced when bolting down the manifold

ICEOlator in place and it stays there pretty natural while your adding silicon to the manifold.








Now was the best time to add the ported vmax throttle body





having two sets of hand on the manifold made it easier to set on top of the block and lining up the bolts





Start to reconnect the hoses

the dyno numbers and graph is showing Max gains, but I live the fat in the middle!
you can see in the 3300 -5500 RPMS zone where timing didn't drop off in run 4 like it did in run 2 causing less power.


Enjoy that torque power while we have them in stock!

Nice! Wish I had that when I did mine. Imagine the gains if that baby had a good cold air intake too. I was just looking over my time slips & noticed my top speed at the end of the quarter mi is over 2 mph higher since I got the black iceolator & ported throttlebody.

Another great bang for the buck. I saw your you tube video of the install and I said I have to try this to see if I want to sell them..........Loved it!

The owner in another thread said the car really feels difference now and the dyno backed up why.

I match ported my intake holes to the ICEOlater made a big difference.

I have a ported manifold in the garage, but I didn't think it was fair to install it. I just wanted to show the gains from the ICEOlator and CnC throttle body.

But yes a ported manifold to allow more flow would help. Whatever you do to get more air in more air out makes HP.

I havent tested just the ICEOlator alone, but im sure you'd have positive gains because how it seperates the manifold from the top of the block to reduce the heat soak.
