The passenger seat is already wired up with a seat heater on all of the cars, at least for the 2010 model. I have a 2SS radio bezel that I've been meaning to test. I plan to plug it in and see if the seat heats up.

I doubt it will though, even if the seat is fully wired, I doubt the BCM will recognize the seat heater buttons.

I had the day off and hooked up the 2SS radio bezel. As I suspected, the heated seat buttons did not work.

Was there any possibility of taking it to a dealer and getting the BCM updated or anything of the likes to get the buttons to work?

Ok so I know this post is old as heck, but i figured it out. All you need if you have heated seats is the faceplate that has the heated seat button. I just swapped the faceplate and pressed the heated seat button and boom toasty buns. I have a 2013 ls and the seats came out of a 2013 ss and the faceplate from a 2013 lt. I'm not sure if it's just because it's all the same year, or what. I didn't need to change out the head unit, I just needed the faceplate. Good luck

so yeah I know...old thread..but, does anyone know if there is a difference in the seat covers from heated and not heated seat? I found a set on Ebay and it doesn't look like they are perforated like mine are...will this matter?

hi all I just got a 2013 ss1/rs and I want to make it a 2ss just wondering if you guys know if there is going to be any problems. I just want to find a black 2ss interior and put it in heated seats/boston sound system /heads up display/ and the rest of the stuff that make it a 2ss and where the best place to find the stuff is thanks

Anyone else can verify that with the full leather seats out of a 2SS, 2LT, or ZL1 that with the faceplate with the oem buttons for the heated seats that this is simply a plug and pay to get the seats to heat???
