Awesome build. I just dropped my car off this morning for my SLP supercharger install. As a result of your recent pictures, I just ordered the SLP Coil Covers! They really clean up the engine bay. I'm pretty much going down your route of doing the canned tune, putting my stock airbox back on and seeing how things go before I do more mods. Thank you for the inspiration!

Thank you Bud. You will absolutely love the added power from the supercharger. What a huge difference it made. The Coil covers are a must, especially with the SLP Blower. Its like it was made to be paired together! A canned tune is very safe. Runs a bit on the rich side but will still put out some awesome HP numbers. Run that setup for a year or 2. then add the headers, intake, fuel upgrades and custom tune and its just gets crazy! You can keep the intake and scoop you currently have in there unless you got the SLP warranty, like i did. SLP has a canned tune for intake as well, they had 3 stages. I can't even imagine how much faster my car will be by adding the Cam, should be in the ballpark of another 80-100rwhp Good Luck!

I couldn't agree more about the look of the coil covers. Honestly, as soon as I saw your pics; I ordered the coil covers!
Thank you for the advise! I am opting for the SLP Warranty. I figure I will run it until I want more power then put in headers, etc. I wasn't aware there were 3 levels of canned tune. Thank you for sharing that with me. Are you aware if the Blackwing SLP cold air intake would void the powertrain warranty? I look forward to following your build and looking forward to the numbers you'll be putting down with your cam upgrade! Beautiful car! |

My April Plans are as Follows. All work will be done By Jannetty Racing.
To start off I bought a new Gauge pod that literally just came out. I should be one of the first ones on here with this setup. The gauge pod is made by Ortiz Custom pods. This pod will hold a Boost gauge and AFR Wideband Gauge. Both 52mm Im looking at the digital Prosport EVO Gauges, Can color change them at will. Once that is complete, the same day down there i will be installing a set of QTP Electric Cutouts!!!!.. Make an obnoxiously loud car even louder!!! haha I also have a Separate clutch fluid reservoir to be installed. The main reason i am getting the Cutouts, is that I'm hoping by the end of the summer i can have Jannetty's Rough Idle Blower Cam installed, with springs, rockers, rods etc along with bigger fuel pump. The combination of the Rough Idle cam, supercharger and cutouts should be absolutely menacing !!!!! The cam should add another 100HP to the wheels with supporting mods, but like i said thats not until the fall. Hopefully. The gauges and cutouts will be done in april or may.

Great list of mods coming!! Couple of things---you will love the Evo gauges..I have pillar pod with them and work great!! I have mine on red all the time...
As for the QTP cutouts---you photo shows the round style and you actually want to get the low profile kind with more wider opening if that makes sense. I have the low profiles on mine----one thing to note---mine is supercharged as well and I must say with headers and magna flow setup SUPER SUPER loud!!!! Sooo loud you cannot talk on the phone when wide open!!!! Love having the option to close when needed. So that rough idle Cam might make even louder just FYI....when wide open going down the highway tough to have conversation and have to close/turn off car if going through drive thru!!!! I must say an attention getter!! When pulling in anywhere wide open everyone and I mean everyone stops and turns!! |

Make sure you get the top covers as well so total setup looks like this. Forgot what they are called and think you have to order extra when purchasing

Yeah but would require of course unbolting items and then adding. I would say easier to do all at once and only $27 bucks per so not to bad. If not using will have exhaust residue all underneath.
Definitely go with the oval low profiles |

Awesome
Thanks Nick. I called the company about when to expect the gauge pod and kinda got the run around. Long story short, they had one in stock when i purchased it, but sold it to someone else. They are now hand making me a new one. They claim 2-3 weeks before i see it. So we are about 3 weeks out before i can come down and install them. Otherwise i would have the gauges hanging from my dash
