I bowled for the first time in 4 months last Thursday. Bowled two practice games about 3 PM.... 160, 279....then at 6 PM got asked to sub for a good friend who was in disney with his family and forgot to prebowl.

Threw the first ball in practice and thought "oh shit" as a sharp pain went up my arm from my two fingers....but decided to go on since i promised i'd bowl. Probably some of the most pain I've ever bowled through....but just wanted to get back in it after the 4 month break. Ended up shooting 229-155-222 won my first and last game and lost total by 4 damn pins (peterson point league)

Team won 26 points overall so a good night nonetheless.

Arm hurt me from Thurs night to Sunday afternoon.

Fingers pretty much healed. Bought two new balls.

Fire Road and IQ Gold.

Much tighter thumbs and revers pitch.

My arm swing is much different and so is my release. Got the ball rolling way higher. And pushing through the center too.

During all of this my averages dropped to 200 and 202.

Shot 648 Monday and 662 tonight though. Averages should start to go back up.

Sometimes you have to tear it all down to rebuild it.

One thing............. my new approach is such that drinking messes me up now.

subbed again on the same team tonight, but for a different guy who was passing a kidney stone.....and I sucked it upppppppppp.

A solid 597 against the vacant team

Thankfully since I also sucked last week, I stayed close to average and took 4 out of 5 points. Team took 28 out of 35. should move up from 3rd place to 2nd out of 28 teams!

Hey, gotta go through a rebuilding sometime. I did mine a few years back when I decided to stop trying to hook the lane and run fast as hell to the foul line....brought my average up from 190s into the 215s 220s.

Started up in a league again last month. Averaging 183 after not being in a league for 3 years. Highest past average was 194. Currently throwing a brunswick rattler first and second ball (no spare ball, never used one).

I think I need some new shoes as I have been sticking like HECK and I think hyper extending my knee. Last week I made a switch from a 3 step to 5 step approach and shot at 608 series and a 612 since.

NO idea how the ball is drilled, never looked that much into it. I got it drilled by a pro shop who watched me throw my old ball and asking me how I want it to react. I'm pretty happy with it.

Welcome . I'd say a 600series isn't bad at all after setting out for 3 years . I'll be back to my league tonight after a few weeks off with a back issue .
Post up some scores later tonight .

Thanks, glad your back is feeling better to get back into it. My current league is only a 8 week league and I'm not sure if I want to join another coming into spring and all.

My goal this year is to hit a 700 series and beat my high game 277.

synthetic. My shoes are some cheap-o shoes I bought just so I didn't have to rent them probably 4-5 years ago.

That must be the difference, The lanes I bowl on recently were redone a couple years ago which must be why im noticing this.

Well I did pretty good last night .. 225- 237- 184 = 646 . Third game had a few Splits and that put a end to a possible 700 series . Still took 5 of 7 points and that's a good thing .
