If I had driven either one of my other two cars, I would've gotten a flat. So, if I was gonna do something so dumb as to backup over spikes, glad it happened to be the car that could take it.

I only guarantee spikes, not pit maneuvers. The rest is up to the Camaro owner being a good driver and knowing when a pit maneuver is coming. I'm always amazed how people on chases can't avoid getting the "pit." You see the LEO creeping up on you (as masterfully trained)...floor the gas or break, or do something else rather than a dumba$$ waiting to get handled.

Ha Ha, don't know how much I am willing to trust your guarantee, cause there is a set of spikes at an apartment complex here in town that is totally unforgiving.....I might just take your word for it lol

As far as the chase thing.... sensory overload is a beotch the fleeing suspect gets a fatal dose of stress, adrenaline, and concentration and its total "tunnel vision" they get so focused on getting away and deciding what their next move is that they can't focus on the officer and getting hit, they just know he's back there still chasing. Either that or they get the feeling that "Hey, this officer ain't gonna hit me...he doesn't want to bend up his car and then WHAM!!! you're spinning out of control.

Wonder if the Camaro had window tint. The first time they drive off, it looks like the driver's window is cracked, but the tint is holding it in place. Depending on the brand/quality, window tint can be very good at keeping broken glass in place.

Just a guess.

It's too bad your tires didn't pop, it'd be deserved for pointing and laughing at some stranger who was in an unfortunate situation.

You do have a point. I guess you can't watch the road, the helicopters, listen to the radio for your chase, and watch everything going on behind you all at the same time...lol.

Can't we all get along? The OP did say karma was a bitch.

I cringe anytime I have to drive over those things- even in a rental car.

I know, right? People get so butt hurt so quickly now-a-days.

And, I feel ya on those spikes. Took me weeks to get used to them when I moved here.

Yeah, speaking about butt hurt - make a tongue in cheek comment and everyone gets out of whack about it.
