If they are the same and i believe they are, you can just swap the 2 tee fittings on the unit using a 1/8 npt female threaded on all 3 sections, then adapt with anything you want to use. You can keep the ends to the solenoid to what they are now size wise and the end that goes to the needle valve the same size too...just make sure the in feed coming from the master cylinder to your first tee connection is 4an or a 1/4(7/16-24) connection and the same on exit feed on other tee that will come off the gadget and go to the trans. The tee's I ordered you get one 1/8npt male plug( useless..LOL) ..one 4an to male 1/8npt and you get a 1/8 to 1/8 both ends male. So you may just need these tee fitting and use the few fitting you got with the unit and adapt it all on... I plan to just use the male 1/8npt to male 1/8npt to put the tee onto the solenoid on each end of the solenoid and then just build everything to it from there... Here is a picture of the tees i just ordered and they come with a few fittings to..hopefully link works .. If not let me know! You can see in the picture it comes with the 4an male to 1/8 mnpt fitting, a 1/8 mnpt 1/8mnpt fitting and a plug too. Not that we will need the plug. tee fitting.pdf

I tried to put the link to the fitting but i am not sure why i can not get the link to set on here...Hmmm. anyway the fitting (tee) i am referring to is on eBay and has the 4an plus other correct fittings too like I mentioned in post #29 above...

Hopefully I can get the tamer unit installed down in this area so it’s down under these parts. I ordered a 10oz Wilwood remote reservoir to swap out the GTO reservoir. I think the clutch system will benefit a little bit more with the larger fluid reservoir.

Well DAMN! What a beautiful engine bay! I'm a little ashamed of mine now. :(
I saw the picture you posted of the adapter. That will certainly work but I am hoping to find a "T" that's equivalent to most if not all of the outputs of that adapter so I can avoid multiple fittings. I'm really leery of having too many connections and opening myself up to opportunities for leaks. I haven't been able to find anything yet but I'll keep looking. Maybe what I'm looking for simply doesn't exist. LOL |

Just put a dab of thread sealer on the threads but make sure you do it so the first 2-3 threads on male end fittings have nothing on since it’s a brake/ clutch line. You can use thread sealant on hydraulic as long as you keep off the first 2-3 threads at the tips on male fittings.

Here are some more pictures of where I put the solonoid. There is a stud coming out of the wheel well area that came in handy. I don’t remember what used to be there?

all my parts finally came in, I'm stuck at work until feb 26th, so I'm going to be sitting here waiting until then to do the install, I'm replacing my clutch so I will have everything removed and will start planning my build when I get home. but I think we all have the same idea about where we are installing our solenoids

I'll be ordering my parts tonight. I'm going with -4an everywhere despite what I said before. I'm going to use steel braided line as well as opposed to hard line simply for the ease of use and it allows me to use the least amount of fittings. If the upgraded Tick clutch line is braided PTFE I'm comfortable using it in this application.
Due to my turbo piping I can't mount mine where stratman2SSRS did. I'm planning on putting on the firewall just to the left of the reservoir. |

I seen a video on a tuner car (using the magnus) that showed the pedal travel with the unit activated and with it not activated. Maybe we can do a video at some point showing the pedal travels and slipping the clutch when activated. Should have majority of my fittings here today. Gonna start disassemble tonight on the car to get things open up and out the way. Since I’ll have everything open I’ll probably put the prong/wire in to the ECU to for the LPE controller so the wire for that is done to.

I been using Motul rbf660 racing brake fluid in mine since I did the fluid reservoir separations about 2 years ago. I Actually just got 2 new bottles today. I usually go through 1 bottle from late spring to early fall doing fluid refreshing in the clutch line only. Good price on eBay on it. More you buy the better the deal you can usually get. I’m gonna upgrade my GTO reservoir to a larger wilwood remote reservoir so there’s more fluid on reserve for the entire clutch system. I believe it may help the system a bit more.
