Quoted $6,500 for vinyl wrap on my 17' vert.

The shop is a "middle of the road" type of place and their price seems quite premium. Am I wrong in thinking this is too much?

Its been like 5 years since i've been quoted on a full wrap, but for a premium full car wrap (non convertible ) in my area was around 3-5k depending on the style i went with. When you start getting up to 7-9k quotes... you might as well be getting your car professionally repainted.

That seems high. The shop did my 2016 2SS convertible in Xpel Ultimate for less than $5,000. That included everything except the hard tonneau and trunk lid. It did include the rear spoiler.

I think that's high. CK Wraps on YouTube quoted some car at 3k max sometimes for a standard wrap.

I live near one of the top wrap shops in the country and they can do custom wraps of any color on a camaro for a good bit less than that. 3-5 is what you should aim for.

If you really want it cheap... do it yourself. It took me about 30hrs. At $100 an hr (typical labor for wrapping) thats 3k plus material

How many inlays did you do on the front bumper if you didn't do it in one piece? Where are they located?

Any issues on the rear quarter panel where there's that big recess?

I'm really tempted to wrap mine, just don't want to run into issues where I wouldn't be able to do it.

I'm going to be wrapping my 2018 SS 1LE in a few weeks. As for a 6 gen front bumper I think the only inlay that may be needed will be the sharp recess above the headlights, as for everthing else there are not any major recesses that will stretch the vinyl beyond its limits. You shouldn't have any problems with the recess in the rear quarter as long as you feed the vinyl into the recess without heat, then post heat any areas that may have needed a little stretching to lay down.

For a camaro in the states, you should be looking at $3200 to $3700 for a wrap with a common vinyl from a shop (however, I think vinyl is more expensive in Canada). If you are looking for something with chrome effect like "satin red chrome" just the vinyl alone is going to cost $2200 so that would kick the price up to $5K.

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you could wrap your vehicle for around $700 with a good 3M, Avery, or KPMF vinyl. $150 in tools, supplies, and $550 in 20 yds of vinyl. But keep in mind, to do it right involves some disassembly!

I'm a painter and airbrush artist, yet I love the idea of vinyl wrap for paint protection and customizing. Possibilities are endless!

Good luck!

Late to the party here.
One of the better shops here that do the full custom wraps on Ferraris, lambos etc.
Quoted me $4500 Canadian to do my car. Full wrap in Gloss Firey Orange

I need to go wherever you guys are going for those prices. In my area, a $4500 quote is a trash wrap job. $6k+ and you start getting into decent wraps—not including ceramic coating afterwards.
