692 mile 2013 Camaro For Sale

Wow, just found a 692 mile 13' Camaro Zl1 for sale. That's probably the lowest mile 5th gen Zl1 that I've seen in a long time:

I know it's still pretty much a new car, but they still have it priced so.

That's a stupid price. I see something like that I always wish I could check with the person in six months and see how it's going?

There's a point of diminishing returns with low miles. Short of waiting 50 years until it's a classic, that's if it's still drivable at that point due to many factors, the value of it will hardly be anymore than one that was driven. I think it's a good idea to keep your car with reasonable miles, nothing crazy high or low. There's lots of dealers and people that have done that, there's a brand new 2013 ZR1 still sitting at a dealer with no miles on it and he still wants $114,000 for it. Unfortunately the value on that car is $65000 just like the rest of the ZR1s out there. This ZL1 won't sell over $40k either. Like I said, diminishing returns...

You can wait and catch the infamous Chevy 20% sales promo on a new one, learned that lesson the hard way on the last one.

Even when dealers still have cars that are new on the lot that are 2-3 years old with "0" miles on them, banks won't loan the money as a new car. They will consider it as a used car at that point. Regardless if it's technically new and never been titled. Like you said....diminishing return.

It’s been for sale so long he has logged another 288 miles on it; picture shows 692 but listing says 980.

Lowest mileage I came across during my search was a ‘12 with 1900 miles in Indiana. Was much more realistic, listed at $34.9k

Honestly, I wouldn't want a 5 year old car with less than 1k miles unless it could be shown that it was properly stored in a climate controlled environment. I've done the "let it sit" approach, and those cars did not fare as well as the ones I've driven at least a reasonable amount of miles. (From a maintenance and problem standpoint, I mean.)

Agreed!!

That's why I'm happy I purchased my ZL1 (bone stock), but driven with 20k miles....

There were some warranty items covered before I purchased the car that I wouldn't of been able to have done if the car sat around all these years with no miles.

There are some low mile ones out here, I have two 13 ZL1's in my collection one has 626 miles and the other 723 miles auto tranny cars, one sunroof in a controlled environment. Which they are not for sale, but they are here.
