Always in s mode.
As far as surging in manual it happens while running around 40 to 50 and accelerating and then letting off. Same in s mode. Accelerating and letting off. When the rpm drop a few hundred it will surge. Almost feels like when 4 low in my truck and running along and let off. How it feels like grabs. Idk. Feels torquey. I don't know how to describe it. And in the later runs I wasn't holding as much rpm on it.Off throttle and rolling into it. In the early runs I was holding 1500-1800.

I'm betting its your converter! Mine did the same thing except it was in 2nd gear. I would notice after it shifted to 2nd and rpms were climbing it would suddenly drop down about 400 then start rising again! I had never ran a multi disc so I didn't realize right off that it was just Bc the converter was locking in 2nd.
Too make a long story short, Rhino fixed that problem for me instantly. |

I will get him to check when he gets back in town. Now that I have my go pro I'm gonna make a video to show him.
Help me out on this logging stuff. What do I need?

I would get the car to hook first, then look into the tune.

So the spinning and high rpm from that is making the shift earlier than needed and causing premature lock up?

Agree John, your biggest issues messing with your ET's Jeff is TIRES TIRES TIRES! You are having to baby that throttle to keep from spinning! You need what I have. 18" Vette rims with MT ET streets! Then you can hammer it! |

When my car spins a ton on a run, my shifts don't necessarily sound right.

Hey Jt I've been searching for those wheels but I can't seem to find a weight on them. Do you happen to know off hand.

I just saw this Jeff, yea with your mods STOCK tires are your weak point. You need some DR's or slicks its up to you bud. A6's as stated earlier dont need too much suspension work.
Wheels and sticky tires bud. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer for your first burnout and you'll be fine. Lol don't feel bad bud I haven't gone to the track for this same reason.....no slicks n skinnies yet lol. I also agree that it's shifting like it is due to wheel spin bud. Don't get impatient or loose hope bud.

Do the +40mm offset. No need to go with wider wheel at this point and I am not a fan of the spacer.
You can can still fit a 305/45 on the GS wheel. Plenty of sidewall. sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

All you have to do on a 40mm offset is tie up the E brake cable and you are good to go!! I wouldn't do the 56mm wheels and the spacer either.
