Nitrous backfire
Just wondering what causes a nitrous backfire??? I saw some pretty bad ones on YouTube, I got custom plate kit ordered from nitrous outlet I got all the bells and whistles with it cause I want to make sure it's top of the line and done correctly....bottom line I don't want a nitrous backfire happening to me, any tips or info will help.

Don't activate it below 3000 rpm.

Alot of times it happens when used at too low of a RPM.

Fuel puddling in a dry manifold is the usual culprit on our cars.
A leaking fuel solenoid can cause this.

Not having a window switch causes a lot of backfires. Spraying at too low of an rpm or tagging the rev limiter will usually do it. Another reason is the tune up not being right. Too much timing can cause detonation and a backfire.

Too lean. The more you spray the lower the AFR needs to be. Alot of people don't do this and end up with a lean backfire on a fairly large shot.
Spraying at too low of an rpm. Advancing the timing during dialing it in passes without rich ending the mix. If you run it and the AFR is good then you decide to add a couple degrees of timing back in, it will then be lean. Bad intake design. Not really a concern for the LS based engines.
