6th Gen

Two questions.

1) Do you think gen 5 will be rare to see in public in 5 years?

2) In regards to this forum, will gen 5 forums die as a result of gen 6? By die I mean no one will be looking or posting enough for their to be good reliable communication.

No to both. The 4th Gen Camaro communities are still big and active. Something in excess of 70% or cars that are modified are modified by the second and third owners.

5th gen is going to take a good couple decades to even become close to being rare.

When I had my 1st gen CTS that forum was popular and that was last year (5 years since the 1st gen CTS was no more) It was almost as reliable and popular as this forum. So no, I highly doubt this forum will die.

I hope you are joking on the first point at least. They are building about 100,000 Camaros a year and the average age of cars on the road is 11 years. Do the math.

As for your second question, refer to the statement above.

They're there because of their anxiety, as they wait for Gen6.

The 5th gen will never be rare.

Camaro5 will never die off.

There's plenty of popular 4th gen sites like LS1Tech and CamaroZ28, ThirdGen.org for 3rd gen stuff, NastyZ28.com for 2nd gens, and camaros.net for 1st gen tech.

Right. When I had my 4th gen, there was still a giant community, and people making new parts.

When the gen6 Camaro comes out, GM is going to recall the entire gen5 production and have them all crushed. It will then be very rare indeed to see one in public. However, gen5 Camaro forums will see a surge in participation as everyone goes online to complain about their gen5 being recalled and crushed.

Of course, all of this is just an ugly rumor that I just started...
