Moving back to the Seattle area...

So, i leave tomorrow in my Stingray to drive out west from Durham. I'm coming out to locate a place to live, and get things set before moving my stuff out in July.

Going to need to get back into the swing of things out there. Miss the area a lot.

Not much has changed other than the typical protesters in downtown seattle, IMO I cant wait to leave this area, Sea-tac has started to implement their 15/hr min wage policy which is really putting a tax on things in that immediate area as well as the city of Seattle looking to implement the same. If that's your thing I guess to each their own, obviously you don't care about min wage because well you have a stingray , I just feel for those who attempted to get a decent wage by going to learn a trade and now it is effectively being devalued by increasing min wage, there is no incentive anymore to push yourself because whats the point when your going to get it taken away and placed with the rest. I was always told live within your means. rant over... enjoy your stay in "sunny" seattle.

How do like the Vette compared to your old SS. I almost pulled the trigger but then I love to drive the SS. Its still fun when the driver has some control over the driving, but the new Stingray's are tempting. have a safe Trip.

I had the privilege of seeing the protestors first hand while I was up there working on the rig. I just don't understand some people, but to each his own.

I could never live in the northwest. I must admit that it's very easy to eat healthy up there compared to here in the south!

It can be irritating, but I do everything I can to piss all the tree huggers off. It's really easy too, because every other person is a tree hugger.

Well, just arrived back in Durham. I've signed the lease, and left the Vette back in Seattle at the house.

I got a nice place on Camano Island, looking forward to the commute when I do get back and get a job, lol.

GreyLS3SS - I do like it a lot. I just rolled it over 50,000 miles yesterday, actually

As far as "control", I feel more in control of this than I did of the Camaro. Yes, it's electronic steering, however (and this has more to do with the size/performance than the tech) I can put the car right where I want it with both no body roll and a LOT of precision. Compared to the Stingray, the SS was a whale. And, to be honest, the SS was a pretty good handling car.

Oh, and caught this video driving through Utah. This is the same band of clouds that produced this storm near Denver.
