Those Goodyear F1's are absolutely terrible and I'm not surprised he short shifted. First is useless on GT500's. Literally.

I regret losing the speed of the GT500 but for a DD... I still think the SS is better.
We're both wrong ... I forgot that they were uprated for 2010 and I'm not sure where you got the 485 from . Before 2010, they were rated at 500 even.

I'm just telling you based on what was in my 07 GT500's owner's manual. It said 485 HP/Torque.

Yeah; When I bought it I thought it was 500 too. That is what all the magazines said and then I read that in the owners manual. I was slightly confused.

So 62HP/52 ft lb torque ~ 6 10th's in the 1/4?

weird lol my 09 says 500hp, 480 tq, im going to ask on the GT500 forums, I know they changed the Crank Damper in the 08+ models and had an intake manifold recall in the 07's the other interesting thing is that it says your torque is 3750 rpm and mine says 4500

There was also a TSB on the clutch that royally ****ed me over. I couldn't get it repaired under warranty. That is what sent me over the edge with Ford and put me in the mood to buy a new car. Man I was angry over that. I called Ford, I talked to the owner of the dealer, I talked to SVT, no one would help me.

At least you know I'm not full of shit though

Haha.

i almost forgot what we were talking about here, i guess that could be driver error. 50-60 hp in the same car should be about .2 sec because of faster 60'

Now you see why that math doesn't quite seem to add up?

I admit the GT500 is faster stock, but 6 10th's seems excessive to me.

yea it seems like the gt 500 driver is good or the camaro driver isnt. or maybe a mixture of both. maybe the shelby had one awsome night. they did underrate the terminator so maybe theres somthing there ttoo.

It looks as if the GT500 beat the living daylights out of the tranny and the Camaro was being kind to it.

It'd be more telling if we could get 60' times and reaction times. It may be as simple as the Camaro spun too much and had a slower reaction time. Kind of hard to tell from these results I guess.

Side note: Just realized we didn't have slips showing details of the run... just the raw times.

Re wheel horsepower, that year of GT500 will dyno at ~440HP at the wheels, the LS3 at ~370HP....the difference is more than 50HP.
